Out of boredom, I decided to do a Nuzlocke run of Pokemon FireRed. For the uninitiated, this is how a Nuzlocke (Hard Mode) changes the way you play any mainstream Pokemon game: #1: You can only capture the first Pokemon you encounter in any route/cave/area. If you knock it out by accident, tough beans. (There's another effect that states that if you already HAVE a pokemon that you're encountering, i.e. you encounter a Pidgey while already having a Pidgey-family member in your group, you can try again in searching for another Pokemon.) #2: If your Pokemon faints for any reason (whether self-caused, through battle, or through status conditions), that Pokemon is considered 'Dead', and must either be released, or placed in an aptly named Pokemon Box, and you can never use it again. If all your Pokemon are dead, your journey ends. Since I started it well before opening this folder up, I decided that this is where I will store my story-format 'strips'. Since I can't draw worth squat, or am not playing it on a GBA emulator, I am using only the Pokemon sprites (courtesy of Serebii dot net), and characters drawn from http://hapuriainen.deviantart.com/art/Pokemon-trainer-Creator-v-2-257074027. Follow the journey of Lura, a male Pokemon Trainer (with a flair for female fashion and hair) from Pallet Town, who embarks on his Journey to show that he's the very best! There will be victories... there will be hardships... and maybe some perverts who'll try to feel him up. Either way, wish him luck as he grinds, fights, and abuses the Pokemon Center like crazy! Take that, Kanto Health Care!
